The New York Shipping Association (NYSA) is a  premier professional organization in the maritime industry. The organization supports a secure and growing port and a highly skilled labor force, efficiently and economically moving cargo in a deep and sustainable harbor located in an estuary flourishing with natural resources.

NYSA provides services in worker and safety training, worker screening and employment, and day-to-day labor relations. It also provides management, administrative and information services to various employee benefit funds, and participates in the regulated management and daily dispatching of the longshore workforce.
