Regional transportation
continues to be a major issue and we have sponsored a number
of events regionally to facilitate discussions on this
important topic. Working with partners like the New Jersey
Chapter of the National Association of Industrial Office
Properties(NAIOP), the Tri-State Transportation Campaign,
The Regional Planning Partnership and others, we continue to
help shape the policy and plans for the future of
transportation and intermodal issues in the region.

for a U.S. Public Freight Agenda in a Global Economy
By Anne Strauss-Wieder & Martin E. Robins

The paper discusses how the United
States' "import economy" has put our nation's intermodal freight
system under stress. It also describes a number of regional
public-private partnerships and state goods movement
initiatives. The paper proposes guiding principles for a policy
framework that the federal government , the states and regions
should consider in developing transportation legislation,
programs, projects and funding. |
